This is a continuation of my first post about the dealer finding gas in my fuel tank in my new BX2370. The tractor would start to loss RPM'S after it warmed up. When still warm it was hard starting but after cooling down it would start and run perfect. Not sure how much gas was in the tank but it could not have been much because the ran so good until it got warm.
Dealer pick it up with less then 3 hours and after checking it out, found gas in the fuel. I have no idea how much. He called and inform me and is returning the tractor today.
My question, what would you do and what are my options? Could I or would you demand a different tractor. Maybe ask for an extended warranty?
Not sure what if anything I'm I entitled to have done for me.
I want to be reasonable and still not be taken advantage of.
The dealer was honest about the whole thing up front, I bet there are dealers out there that would have never told me what they have found.

If BX2370 is new it will have sufficient warranty time left to cover any future engine/fuel system failures. Several yrs ago my daughter pulled her Dodge diesel truck into a service station and absent minded filled the tank with "gasoline". Then drove truck several 100 miles. She then complained to me about low power & white smoke out of the exhaust. I changed fuel filter & noted the odor of gasoline, drained tank and put some diesel in it then engine ran fine. Long story-short story truck was still running fine several yrs later when she traded it off.

Just a question... Who or how did the gasoline get in the tank in the first place? Did the dealer do it?

Dude like was said before get everything in writing
INdeed get it in writing, if it aint in black and white it didn't happen,, if you get my drift,,
And how did gas get into the tank, it came from the dealer so THEY mucked it up,,
Oh yeah buddy get what they said in writing or stop payment on it,,
Gas in a diesel motor is bad JuJu, and question HOW did they know there was GAS in the tank??
Im only saying this because my truck had problems and the dealer said no worries and when the thing went south they said we have no records of you having this problem that service manager doesn't work here any more,,,,
Just MHO you understand

ABSOLUTELY WHAT SKEETS SAID!
Please do not let any more time pass. That brings more odds of nothing happening and blame being shifted elsewhere.
