Some years ago, I was working a contract job for a Fortune 500 company. Their IT group would do periodic on-line security pointers. One time, the lesson was to not open links in e-mails or texts from unknown sources. A couple of days later, they sent out a test text from some weird site. 80 or 90% of the employees that had taken the training fell for it.

I worked for Chrysler for 18 years. They would do the same thing. They never told us the percentage who opened it, but I would guess it was pretty high since they couldn't get the engineering group to stop using "reply all" with every e mail.

A similar thing happened at this company. Some VP sent an email to all employees. It invited a response, so after a few people responded, reply all, and a few replies to the replies, the email system was down for a couple of days until preventive measures could be implemented.
