Something to watch out for and to share a gearbox vented dipstick story with all. I have a L/P RCF-2072 and a do all the maintenance myself. I usually just use the side plug as to check the oil level but today after using the cutter for a couple hours for whatever reason I pulled the vented dipstick out, to my surprise I saw lots of little bubbles on the stick. On my L/P gearbox at the top of the vented part there is a spring loaded button that if pressed down accidentally and doesn't pop back up will block off the hole to release any pressure. I found mine stuck down, maybe I pressed my hand down on the gearbox when working on the implement at some time. I cleaned re-oiled re-installed.

Nice tip, thanks for sharing.

Probably a good thing you found that, most likely you just saved your seals.
