V4000 help!

First thing, been a 2-3 year project.
Started back assembling the engine back together and got it back together and I found these on the bench, can not find anywhere they go or the name or purpose of these, been through the manual ten times still can’t find any info.

Welcome aboard. How about a little background? If that engine is from a Kubota tractor, i'd say that part is off something else; it wouldn't be that color.

I believe you should have four of those. They go in the water passage of the cylinder head.

I do have 4 of them, where at in the head? Do you have anyway to show me where they go?

I would also suggest leaving this gear on the bench. OUCH!

I did lol it was hard to find them, I think that was a used one they didn’t have new one available, try to find oil pump none available besides use ones mine was pumping good when I took it apart so hopefully it will do good

I know you know I’m going to ask, think it would be run without or would you take head back off and install them

It will run till it overheats and cracks the head.
I would bite the bullet and pull it apart and replace them.

They still use that part on newer engines so it works for its use!

Ok good deal, if you think I should get new ones could you send me part number, my Kubota dealer couldn’t find them when I was there trying to find where they go
