If you haven't removed the pump yet I would recommend swapping # 34 and 4 injectors to see if the issue moves. I doubt the issue is the injection pump as over fueling generally produces black smoke

As per my first post, already tested this by swapping 1 and 4.

As per my first post, already tested this by swapping 1 and 4.

Then as stated previously the issue is most likely piston, pin or rod related. But you can have the pump tested at a qualified pump repair center.

Yep. And as per my later posts that's exactly what I am doing.

Some good assistance has been provided in how to safely remove the pump. Now I'm just waiting on a local specialist to get back to me on whether they can work with this specific pump.
