Hello All,
I am a new to me owner of a 2008 B7510-F with a backhoe and bucket.
After 7 years of snowblowing and wheel barrel landscaping I have an orange.
When using the backhoe should I have the bucket on the ground and some down pressure when digging?
Great site and looking forward to using my tractor vs the wheel barrel
Thanks

The only difference from the previous post,I have the FEL bucket in the near full tip position so the top and bottom edges are contacting the ground at the same time .It seems to hold better this way and keeps the tractor level when facing down hill.I use mainly on ground that it doesnt matter if the surface is marked.

Edit:

I knew I had a picture some where,

You will find that every situation is different but in most cases it's best to roll your buchet all the way over and the lift the front tires off the ground. Just remember that the lower you can keep the tractor the better the stability will be. In a place where it matters about marking the ground up leave the bucket flat. It would hold you as well but it will be easier on the soil.

If it is possible I fill my bucket with dirt or stones before putting it on the ground. Maybe it is just me but it sure seems to have made a big difference.

I usually have all 4 tires just touching.
I set the bucket flat if in a yard, and on edge if not.
