Used L3400 needs TLC

Hello orange tt,
I have a b2320, love it, but a lil small, (everybodies problem) I am thinking of upgrading to a 2008 l3400 hydro.
Sell states it needs some tlc. Biggest issue, power steering doesn't always work. He wants 13900 for it seems fair. But is the steering issue a can of worms? Or looks like might just be something external bent or broken, anybody have thought I would appreciate it. Thank you.

"Doesn't always work"? I would check the fluid level. Does it randomly not work, or not work when using the loader or other hydraulics? I would identify the cause and know the cost to rectify before deciding on purchase.

The earlier models, had really crappy hydraulic return hose (2" line, with a 90* bend by your right foot) that would crack and allow air into the system which would cause the steering (FEL and 3ph) to be a bit jerky... but by 2008 kubota had changed the rubber compound and I have not heard much about bad steering (as of late).

Get the serial Number and that should tell you more when it was manufactured. A tractor built in 2006 could have been sold in 2008 as brand new... they sell by model number not really by year.

Thanks for the info, still doing research, see if I can't figure it out, the other difficult is the machine is 4 hours away so I don't have boots on the ground.

Update still learning, been trying to get year of Fram serial number. Need to look at engine to get year built.
