Question mark in subject because I'm not really sure I'm talking about a loader pin (pic below of what I am referring to) as I am relative noob...about 80 hours on my B2650- mostly cutting field with rotary cutter and moving piles of brush with SSQA pallet forks

I noticed after cutting today that when I parked (inside on garage on level concrete), these two pins are not acting the same. One is barely touching the orange ring to which it inserts and I can move it up an down easily with my finger. The other is firmly against the orange ring and doesn't budge when I tap on the bottom.

Which one of those sounds more like how they should be, and what have I done to cause the difference?

The small dia. pin slides up (and down) out of the orange painted ring. It is simply a safety lock to keep the big pin holding the loader to the mounting hardware. As long as the small pin is inside the "hole' in the orange bracket you're fine.

One may slide easier, but it doesn't matter. Just be sure to grease all the grease fitting on your loader every 10 (or so) hours of use to keep the pins working better and not wearing.

I think this references a similar issue with your model tractor.

B2650 loader disconnect pins | OrangeTractorTalks - Everything Kubota

EDIT - - I misread your post.

I agree with D2Cat - - if one is free and the other not, I don't see a major deal. Literally 1/32" or less can make a difference.

I assume the loader generally operates level/plumb/square otherwise?

Sounds like the loader brackets need to be loosened so they can equalize/home to the right spot. (set bucket on flat level ground and raise front end slightly) Tighten the bolts.

Thanks for the replies. Loader functions normally and bucket/forks go on/off with no issues. I will check out the bolts on the brackets.
