We have an L355SS tractor (approx 1987). It has been driving and shifting fine. We recently changed the transmission fluid and cleaned the screen. We were given the wrong replacement fluid that has a substantially lower viscosity.
After a few days of use we discovered the problem and replaced the fluid again the the correct stuff. The tractor now acts like the the clutch is slipping.
1. has the clutch been ruined and needs to be replaced?
2. do we just need to use it for a while to work things back in.
3. has something else been damaged?
4. is there something we can adjust?

Thanks in advance.

There is three clutch packs on that tractor, one dry mechanical and 2 wet hydraulic.

If it's got the same slip forward and reverse, I would suspect the mechanical dry clutch more than I would the wet hydraulic clutches. ;)

I'll send you a message where to download the WSM for your tractor.

I would look at the dry clutch first then you could start diving into the wet if needed. ;)
