Hey All,
2 quick questions  1. Why does my sight glass read low even though I verified that the fluid is full. Also, it leaks fluid around the sight seal. Can the glass and seal be replaced? (I guess thats three questions?)
Thanks,
Martin

Only way to verify fluid is at proper level is via the sight glass.
I have replaced the sight glass/ seal as a kit, just pops out/back in.
In a dire situation, remove, clean and use a small amount of sealant.
Likeky seal will tear on removal so better to replace with new.
Sorry i cant help you with part number.

You may have to remove the site glass and check to see if it needs to be cleaned. They will sometimes get stained and look like the fluid is at a certain level when it actually is either low or over full

Either it is over filled or its too low. By draining a couple gallons or adding more oil you will find out. Level in sight glass will change very little by adding a qt or two. The old sight glass can be a little decieving at times. its hard to tell even with a light.

A lot of people expect a huge color change in the sight glass, surprisingly most fluids will only add a hint of yellow to the glass, and if it's over filled it's really hard to tell.
Best way to verify it's at the right height, is to drain it out while watching the sight glass, and watch for the change. ;)
If it's the same yellow drained as full then it might be time to get a new site glass as they are plastic and will yellow over time.
