I currently have a wicked grappler 55 on order since July 1. Original date of 10/8 was to be delivery date. Now hopefully 12/1.
One of the tractor dealers around me has quite a few Titan Grapplers.
Really need one before 12/1
Thinking of canceling the wicked 55.
Has anyone used one from Titan and how does it perform?
Thanks in advance.

I just got my Wicked 55 a few weeks ago and it's all that EA claims it is. It's worth the wait IMO unless your using it to make money. You could always get the Titan and then sell it when the Wicked arrives.

I would wait on the Wicked, you are so close. But if you absolutely needed it, I'd buy what you can have today. Resell of the Titan may be hard since the dealer has many on the lot, unless you sell at a large loss.

The real questions are: does the Titan grapple meet your needs and is it well built. If the answer is yes to both questions, why would you wait or pay more?
Many on this forum talk about how tough an item is, but it is pointless to have an item that is tougher, has significantly higher specs than you need or that your tractor can use.

I have a Land Pride grapple. I will run out of tractor/FEL/hydraulic system capacity and toughness before I run out of grapple capacity - for my uses. It would do me no good to have a tougher grapple.

A tougher chain will not improve your tractor's ability to tow a log over a properly sized chain.

I've seen in a lot of posts that the Wicked 55 has a crazy lead time. Looks like you could be closing in on 5 months. Is this still pretty accurate for the Wicked 55 from EA?

Last update on delivery is now 12/1 to 01/22. Ordered 6/8. Good product but lousy delivery time

I think the EA is worth the wait and it says a lot that there are a bunch of Titan grapples available in these current times where many are facing supply/demand challenges. I have an EA grapple and rear box blade and the quality is obvious. I ordered a land leveler on 7/9 so am at about 15 weeks so far which is within the time frame quoted.

I made the point in another thread that many might not need a grapple as well built as the EA, but even if you don't, it's good to know that the implement is overbuilt. I use the Wicked 60 for rocks mostly but also handling logs for firewood, so I want/need a robust and well-built grapple to handle the work. So far it has exceeded my expectations and was definitely worth the 17 week wait.
