I am new to this.
I noticed that on my chipper the connection point is bent.
When the three point hitch is up twords the top of the travel the arms are pushing out on the pin mounts.
There are two slide stops with pins.
Am I supposed to only use one at a time ?

Use both stabilizers pinned/locked as necessary. Use the holes for when solid, minimal implement motion is desired…(post hole digger, mower, blades)…..use slotted holes when some movement is preferred (plows, discs, harrows).

Never use only one stabilizer- they are a system designed to be used together. They work under tension (pulling). With only one side pinned, the implement can compress the stabilizer and bend it (or the mounts). I build a lot of replacement telescoping stabilizers, because people were only pinning one side.
