With all the chatter about steering cylinders, that was my first thought, it being 22 years old. Upon inspection though, I found one of the tie rod ends had come off - the nut was missing. Well, I had them off a couple of years ago to fix the inner boot, I'm sure I put cotter pins in, but it is what it is. Went to the spare hardware can labeled M10 and actually found a castle nut that fit. Installed it and made sure the cotter pin was in this time :) I did see that the boot on the tie rod ball joint was ripped so something else on the list to fix!

Glad that worked out for the best! Better a tie rod end than a ball joint/bearing/or whatever else that wheel pivots on.
