temp gauge and glow plug indicater

The 2 are not related or so I think.
1. When holding the switch for the glow plug I do not see it turn red. I just bought the machine L355ss so I don't know if it was like that before I bought It. any help appreciated.

2. I stated the tractor and ran it for about 10 minutes and noticed the temp gauge never left the extreme cold side of the gauge. Would it take a while for the gauge to kick in. Also it was only 5 degrees today. Tried looking at the wiring diagram but left me a little confused.

Glow plug controller is under dash, the light should come on for a few seconds. Could have bad glow plugs, controller or both. As for temp gauge, mine never moved and I found the wire came off the sensor. It is on the engine head close to firewall, single wire. Mine is on the passenger side of you know what I mean...

Thanks I try to check it with a VOM and see what happens. Starts right up though. hoping its jus the wire
