Tank Line on LX2610 for Rear Remotes?

I am about to add rear remotes to my LX2610 - I already have a 3rd function and backhoe. I have it basically figured out (thanks to Dan/Thisoldhokie !) and found some information.

The way the LX2610 is configured, PB off the loader valve goes to the third function, which then feeds the backhoe which returns to the 3pt to power that (or if backhoe is off you connect hoses and the outlet on the 3rd function goes to the 3pt). My manual remotes/valve will take power from the 3rd function, the PB off that valve will go to backhoe (or bypass if not using) which then goes to the 3pt.

My question is what to do with the tank line off of my remote. Everything I have seen say to tie it in to the tank line off the loader valve. The problem is on the LX2610 this looks hard to do, as the tank on the loader valve is hard piped to the tank and fairly inaccessible. I know I can get an auxilary plate that replaces an existing plate provides another PB and a tank line (it is also the spot for Kubot rear remote valves would go), but am trying to avoid that.

Am I ok just connecting the tank line from my rear remote valve into the hose that feeds the 3pt (which is the outlet of the backhoe when connected)? It sounds like that is not ideal. The 3rd function and backhoe should be OK, since that is how they are connected now, but worried it could cause issues to anything connected to remote valves like a top and tilt kit.

If I can't connect into the hose that feeds the 3pt, does anyone have advice into connecting into the tank line from the loader valve - it looks hard to do? If neither of these are good options, I may be looking at getting the conversion plate.

Ÿou cannot connect tank to the backhoe return. All sorts of problems there.

You don't need high pressure hose for the tank line and I would think a hose barb tee in the loader tank line and some hose clamps sould be doable.

The adapter plate for the OEM remotes is not a tank connection. The tank connection fpr that is a short pipe that goes into a hole on the transmission case. Its just a friction fit with o-ring and the hole probably got a rubber plug in it from the factory.

The pipe is $30 from Messicks - I am sure you could cobble something up there. Looks like there is a threaded hole for part number 90 that you could use to clamp the pipe in place. Again low pressure hose and hose clamps is all you need.

This is the tank return when I installed summit 3rd function a few years ago on my LX. You can see some of the factory rear remotes in the lower right.

So, there is an outlet extension I may end up using instead of buying the pipe and rigging something together which I am assuming is OK. It is $162 and the pipe is only $30 though and some extra parts so will take a look. But since I have to remove the cover any way I could add this extension, and run poth power and tank return to these ports and not have to mess with my other hoses. Since this is where the Kubota kit goes I would think it is ok to use this?

You dont need to remove the cover to get to the plug in the tank return and evrn using the outlets you still need a tank return in that plugged return port

You are msking this much harder than need be. Cut the loader tank return hose in two and put a hose barb tee in that hose. Run some 3/8 lightweight transmission hose from that tee to the N port on the Summit valve. Secure all return line hose ends with hose clamps. Probably less than $40 in parts.

All sounds good except for one thing - the N port on the summit valve gets a power beyond sleeve and is used to power the backhoe. It is the tank port that would be routed to the tee - correct?

Yes - in my rush I miss-spoke. With the wheel and fender off you should have no problem getting to that loader return line.
