I bought one this weekend and it's in nice shape and works great but is runnign slightly rich. Opened up the air filter housing to discover there is no air filter. Looked up the part and found it is discontinued. Has anyone out there scrapped together any kind of replacement solution?

Does it have a Kawasaki in it? If so can you get a filter through them?
Also before investing much money I would be extremely concerned about a lawn mower that has run for any length of time without an air filter. That's a lot of dust.

Thanks just located the cross-referenced part and got one cheap. I hear you on the dust. Am pretty sure given how well the rest is kept up that the filter was taken off fairly recently. Wish me luck!
