I got a new-to-me SVL65-2 . Only 245 hours. I got it when it had about 100. Regular use - no abuse. Got 9106 error code during non strenuous task and it went into limp mode. Dealer mode shows code 9118 calling out the water separator. Water separator had rust debris. Pulled out, cleaned, replaced filter. Ran for just a few minutes to see if maybe it would clear, but no luck. Still in limp mode but does sound better. Has anyone experienced this issue? What is next step - cleaning injectors? f

Where are you getting your information for the error code identification?
You should get your dealer to connect KOBD ACE diagnostics to your machine, as there will be several DTCs which you are not seeing on your hour meter. (Diagnostic Trouble Code)
I would start looking at the wiring harness for damage.

E:9118 is an engine oil pressure error DTC.
E:9106 is a common rail fuel injector system error DTC.

Thanks for responding. Sorry long day, I accidentally gave the wrong code. While the machine does have a 9118 stored, it's from before I acquired the machine at only 15 hours, haven't had any issues with that personally since. The water separator code is 9120, and was detected at 135 & 141hrs, but the machine didn't throw the alarm until now it seems. Fuel Tank seems clean, at least from what i can see when pulling the filler neck, not really planning on draining tank for inspection yet since it's a plastic tank I doubt it's the source of my rust. The filter in the water separator itself had rusted on the metal ends and i believe that was the rust source, in theory the main fuel filter after the separator should have caught anything that got past the faulty water separator but haven't pulled main filter to check it's status yet. Yes I would like to go to the dealer and have them run the diagnostic, but they wont do appointments and I have to leave the machine and have been told they won't be able to even look at it for two weeks. So I figured I would try the simple stuff first before relinquishing access to it

Unplug the water separator switch connector and run the machine. With no water in the cup, the switch should read Open Loop, or no continuity between the two wires.
Change the spin-on fuel filter also.
