I had a home made adaptor to use the same shank as the Heavy Hitch sub soil tool... It worked well..
I now have a Heavy hitch sub soil tool...
Any pictures of the homemade one? I've got a "middle buster" I was thinking of bolting a longer, skinnier shank on for some variety.

Any pictures of the homemade one ? No.. Not anymore.... No idea where I lost a lot of that stuff... Maybe one or more computers that have long since died..

I basically took 2 pieces of 3/8 x 6 flat stock, drilled a couple holes to match the hole pattern in the sub soil ripper shank.. Bolted a cut out of breakfast cereal box and the shank to space them.. And started notching it to fit a 2x2x 1/4 tube shank to look much like the Heavy Hitch shank holder..

Only difference was mine was a bear trap style that had a bar of steel welded in behind the shank so it could ONLY come out from the bottom..

I'm sure there are better ideas out there, but it was quick, easy and useful..
