Have the necessary hardware on the Kubota to use a STB0560. On the old NH I use to just use the loader box and rear blade for light snow until the snowbanks became an issue. Then the 3pt snowblower was attached for the rest of the snow season. Which can be some years be the first snow dump.

Considering a snow blade. Costs of a manual operated model has me leaning that way. But while hauling firewood lengths with the claw grapple I had time to think. Bad thing. Would be nice to change the pitch and angle of the blade from my seat.

If I'm not mistaken the pitch (forward/backwards) can be changed with the loader dump function. Installing an electric linear actuator would allow you to change the angle left and right. Looks like a heavy plow so you'd need a beefy (and water proof) actuator. Just a thought.

3rd function hydraulic on the BX to operate the grapple claw. Images of the STBO5 looks like it requires the system. Guessing to change the blade angle.

I don't have 3rd function hydraulics so I'm looking at an electric alternative for my DIY SSQA blade.

3rd function hydraulic is the easiest way to go to change the blade angle but you stated for cost you were thinking of going manual. An electric actuator might be cheaper but is it worth the effort to save some $$? Maybe just bite the bullet and spend the money if it's in your budget.

Just throwing ideas/options out there.
Good luck and let us know what you decide (with picture of coarse).

I have the STB1596 version and as @Bee-Positive said, the blade tilt is controlled via the bucket tilt function, and ideally the blade angle is controlled by the 3rd function. I would never want to be adjusting the angle manually, on any implement, but certainly not on a snow blade. I'm constantly making adjustments to the angle while pushing snow, and much less often the tilt.

I have hydraulic chute rotation and deflector angle on the snow blower which is another feature that I wouldn't want to be without.

Similar thoughts about manually adjusting the blade angle. Since already have a 3rd function. Guessing the price difference between manual and hydraulic blade might be just a few hundred dollars. Hope is to find a gently used one for the price of a new manual.

Using just the back blade and bucket works fine and is faster for light snowfall until the banks become to big. Then I mount the 3pt snowblower. Didn't have a quick attach on the NH. Once the blower was mounted the ~500#blower stayed on. Then if possible just run downhill pushing a pile snow. Snowblower the two newly created snowbanks. More or less done with the driveway. Parking area takes longer than ~800ft driveway. With a snow blade. Thinking mounting the snowblower on day one. IIRC the LP 51" blower weighs +300#. Added weight on the rear would be nice even if running chains or studs on the rears.
