My LT245 has starting issues, sometimes the tractor will start other times it will not. After the glow plugs have been warmed and switch turned to start the lights dim as if there is a load on the battery but the starter does not turn. If I try again it intermittently does start. I s there a dead spot on the starter that would cause this ???

Inspect the ground from battery to frame - clean / tighten / replace as needed. Very common issue.
Inspect / clean /replace all connections to the starter.
Load test the battery, can read 12v until a load is put on it.
Let us know what you find and we can go from there.

Bee-Positive is correct…after cleaning both battery cables (both ends) “load” test your battery (with your battery load tester or bring your battery to your local auto parts store and have them load test it for you…most likely the test will be done free of charge) a bad battery might provide the correct voltage at its terminals but cannot start your tractor with its inherent starting load.
