I don't know if you make recommendations for zero turns here as well as tractors, but I have a ZD326 and sometimes get a click when I turn the key. I have to click a few times before the starter system will engage fully and turn over the engine. Not sure how to trace that out, but can anyone offer a starting point from experience? Starter switch? O
ne of the safety switches not disengaging (seat, brake, stearing levers?)

Not an uncommon problem. The safety switches develop internal resistance over time and can often not pass the current necessary to pull in the starter solenoid.

John Deere even sells a kit for the problem.

A relay is added to the stater solenoid circuit. Now the safety switches only have to provide enough power to fire the relay and then the relay powers the solenoid.

A common head light relay will also work.

I designed a circuit with relay for my G5200. The 'safety circuit' now picks the new relay....the relay kicks the starter-solenoid. Never had another 'click' since installation.
