I recently purchased a Speeco 3 point log splitter to use with my Kubota MX5000 tractor. I purchased hydraulic lines and ran them to the rear remotes on the tractor. In order for the splitter to operate I have to use a bungee cord to hold the hydraulic spool valve open because the handle on the tractor is spring loaded. Everything functions fine, however I read a review stating that doing this can overheat the hydraulic pump on the tractor, and cause it to "dead head". That same person recommended hooking up to the power beyond port instead. Any insight as to which method I should use? Thanks

I have a MX 5100 and that is how I have run my log splitter, via the bungee cord. I am looking to get a second rear remote with the detent feature, but I cant seem to get an accurate part number.
I dont mean to hijack the thread, I know the rear remotes are a whole goods item, i can seem to get my local dealers to give me a straight answer on the part number for this.

thanks,
