I have a new used McKee blower for my B2620 and the cable that runs from the rod you turn around the deflector chute is disconnected. I know it has to wrap several times around the rod and once around the chute but I am not sure of its routing to get the chute to turn.

Any help or pictures would be helpful. I can add some pics of mine tomorrow.

Here is a picture.

The cable needs to be physically connected to the chute. Often two holes are drilled to allow the cable clamp to tie the end of the cable together and to the cute so there is no slipping.

If you have a rear hydraulic remote, converting it to a hydraulic rotation is easy and inexpensive.

Eric the Oracle on the other forum has a wealth of parts and spec info on McKee blowers. John Deere sold McKee's painted green for many years.

Thanks Dave. I forgot to snap a picture of mine this morning but it is very similar if not identical to the one in your picture.
