Hi. I have an older Meteor snowblower that has a cable control shute and a manual deflector. I would like to either improve the cable shute rotation or convert this unit to hydraulic or electric. I'm just wondering if anyone has done such a thing? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Here is the chute rotator I built for my Kubota snow blower. I used an ATV winch I bought off Amazon (I think). It was like $50.00. Not sure how clear the pictures will be. It was way back in my storage shed. The winch worked great it has the forward/reverse switch and all of the wiring with it.

Thanks for the great ideas. One thing that I forgot to mention now that I have seen the power window idea is that I have gear around the shute. I thought that I could get one or weld some pieces together.

I hope that I will get it done before the snow comes. We are currently at a level 2 drought. Nice and warm to work at this now.

Thanks again for the ideas.
