I recently bought a BX2763A snow blade for my BX tractor. The instructions have a piece to mount to the back of the blade to make it rigid so it does not flip forward if you hit something while plowing. Is there an advantage to plowing with this bracket in place so the blade is rigid or should I remove these brackets and adjust the spring tension so it tips forward?

You're going to come to a really hard/abrupt stop if you leave it rigid and hit something. I think that is to use the blade in a similar fashion to a dozer blade. For plowing snow, I'd leave the brackets so it isn't rigid.

X3 - like a pickup plow, you want it to tip doing snow.

Put the bracket back on for dirt/stone.
