What size blade are most of you guys using to clear snow? I'm using a L3800HST and 60"wheel width with filled wheels. I know there is no perfect size as some snow is nice and light and some is heavy and wet. I'm just trying to find out what covers the wheel spacing with the blade angled. My thought was a 72" but that might be too small. I hate to go to an 84" and then have problems pushing it.

wiltff, I'm a new owner of a 2006 B7800 with 30 hp and 22 pto hp and I have a 60 inch rear blower and a 60 inch hydraulic blade on the front and I can't see you having any problems with an 84"

I've only used mine the last few weeks in the last few storms but there is absolutely no effort to move snow with this blade. That being said we haven't had an overabundance of snow yet but will tonight as 30 cm (about a foot) is predicted.

No doubt ground speed and volume/weight of snow will be factors.

Can't see it being a problem at all but advice from more experienced users may be the best.

I find on my L3800 that the 72" Landpride fits the bill. It's wide enough that it covers my wheel tracks when the blade is angled. That way I don't compress the snow by driving over it if the blade was too narrow.
