Smaller tractor options

So is this the size you were looking for?

Or is it just a project to flip to finance a smaller tractor ...
Around the size. Specs show it’s 2,600lbs 27HP and 23PTO HP.
Didn’t need a project right now but it was too good to pass up. Main concern is the issue with the clutch. I’ll have to work on it in the evenings, shouldn’t take much to get the engine running.

The clutch plate is probably stuck to the flywheel from just sitting in contact. There are ways to break it loose but I don’t think I would do any of them on a tractor that sat for a decade.

I would just commit to splitting it and replacing the clutch, pressure plate, etcetera.

But I would get the engine running as the first step in making decisions about what to do.

Well I brought home the L275, the seller threw out a price I couldn’t turn down.

It definitely needs work, says it hasn’t ran in probably a decade. It might need clutch work as the pedal goes down to the stop and doesn’t return past the PTO stage. It has an 8x8 transmission although it’s labeled as 8 forward and 7 reverse.

If I decide that size is a good weight/hp I might sell it and search for a HST B series with a loader.
That's awesome! If I ever decided to get a project tractor I'd want something from that era too. I really like the boxy look of the older Kubota models.

Yes first step is getting the engine running. I guess what’s confusing me is the pedal doesn’t return fully. It will depress fully and return halfway which would be the PTO, but not for the driven clutch. Would that be a symptom of the clutch stuck?
I’ve worked on several automotive clutch’s but this will be the first tractor clutch I’ve had to dive into other than adjustments.

I don’t think the L275 has a two stage clutch but the PTO and drive both engage/disengage at the same time. At least that is how the L185 works.

You can get an operator and work shop manual from Kubota books dot com that will be a great resource.

The pedal probably has some grease fittings under the foot rest that could use some grease. There is a rod that the pedal rotates that enters the tractor case. That may be rusted up some so you may need to spray some penetrating oil on that area.

Just made another thread about the project. Going off the owners manual and service manual it should have a two stage clutch.
The pedal is not froze, I can pull it all the way back.
