My adjustable sidelink was rusted/frozen in place so I heated/soaked /banged and finally got it apart.
The bottom threaded section is prevented from falling out with a roll pin that I guess you access thru the holes that are drilled in the adjustment barell. Mine (rollpin)was pretty much rusted off so it actually helped clean the threads as I was backing out the bottom yoke.
So FYI if your taking apart the side link look for the pin !
