I just bought a Magister hydraulic cylinder for my Kubota MX5200 top link but having trouble finding hoses. Magister uses SAE 8 orb fittings but hoses seem to use NPT or BSP fittings and I cannot find the correct adapters. Any suggestions?

Hoses are usually NPT or JIC. SAE port adapters are readily available but you need to know what is on the end of your hoses. I avoid NPT like the plague and use hoses with JIC female swivel ends as does Kubota.

If you want to get fancy you can use custom made hoses with SAE 90 degree male swivel ends that will screw directly into the ports on your cylinders. Very professional but you will pay a premium for them.

Ok thanks for feedback. I can buy pre-made hoses with quick connectors and cut off the other fittings to use an ORB crimp connector but will need to find a hydraulic shop to make the crimp. It may be easier to buy adapters for both ends and use an NPT or JIC hose. I was thinking NPT but it would not be much difference to go with JIC.

Did you miss the list that I gave for the adapters?

Custom hoses are expensive. I would suggest premade hose assemblies with female JIC swivel ends. Surplus Center has a good selection at very reasonable prices. Then use SAE to JIC adapters for the valve. You can buy the adapters from them as well.

Yes I missed the link but got it now. Good prices, great selection of parts, and low shipping. Thanks! Surplus Center also has good hose prices but they want $20 to ship two hoses. Found them less expensive other places.

Nope… It’s Left Hand Thread ORB in the pic.
I see what you mean looking at the picture but that picture is taken off the DHH website and is for a standard MBX90 fitting. Perhaps their image editing folks have done something strange to the image. AFAIK there are no left hand thread SAE ports or fittings.
