So I buy two 20 inch tires for my garden tractor, I pull the first wheel off in the garage and carry it to the barn and after some minor fighting the old tire is off the rim and the new tire is on.

I needed to take the tire back to the garage with the air compressor to fill it with air so I put the tire down grab the schrader valve the valve tool and the key that locks the wheel to the axle shaft and that is where hell came a knocking.

The tire starts rolling and before I can stop it out the barn it goes across the lawn it rolls down the driveway hangs a left at the road picking up speed like someone is driving it with some idiot in hot pursuit.
Our German Shepherd catches the commotion sees the tire and gives chase down the road as I am screaming at him to stop. The road turns to the right and the tire went straight rolling back onto our property flying into our pond.

As I get there the dog is debating whether or not to jump into the pond to get the big black ball so I command him to stay and he
does. The tire is floating about three feet off shore covered in soap bubbles so I scrounge up a tree branch and pull it to shore only to find that its full of water and I can barely get it out of the pond.

As I am rolling the tire back to the house with the dog bouncing around me basically saying "do it again dad, do it again" I am thinking what a dumb ass.

On the bright side it didn't smash into anything and no one saw you except the dog - give him enough treats he won't tell anyone. 😜

AND you didn’t have to rescue the wheel and tire from the deepest part of the pond!

This place is on a mountain and very hilly so I am very careful when stopping and getting out of cars, equipment and such but the barn floor
is all rough cut boards built in 1868 so things just dont roll away until they
do.
