Units in cars/trucks are wired live through a thermostat to battery. If similar and it comes on when engine is cold, I'd say the thermostat is 'shorted' and allowing battery to spin the blades.
A wiring diagram, WSM, would show the flow .....

you guys NEED to find the 'wiring diagram' for your rides ...that will shopw you WHY the fan is still running ...could be stuck relay, fried wires, bad ign switch, phase of the moon ????

Unlikely the fan would run like that.
I suspect that the thermostat that controls the fan is shorted, assuming htere is some 'controlling' device between the fan and the battery.
Having a wiring diagram is critical to knowing what's going on though you could just keep on replacing $$$ parts until the problem 'goes away'...

they'll stay on for a while after you turn the key off.

next time, when you're done using the rtv, pull it up close to a car or truck so that if it runs the battery dead, u can jump start it off the car/truck/tractor/mower/whatever. Then turn the ignition off and see how long the fan runs. It outta turn off within a few minutes.

The fan relay Control power comes from the ON or RUN position of the Key Switch, therefor the fan should shut off when the Key Switch is turned to OFF.
The POWER to the Fan relay is connected before the Key Switch so if the Fan relay does not unlatch, when the Control power is truncated, the fan will continue to run.
Either the Key Switch is not shutting OFF power to the Fan Relay, the Fan Relay has failed/stuck or there is a short in the wiring harness from a constant battery power wire to the Cooling Fan Motor wire circuit.
Below are the Wiring Schematics.

NICE that WT posted the diagrams !! Interesting that the relay is rated for 20 amAmps, yet fused for 30 amps ! That implies a huge 'inrush' current,so odds are the relay contacts are welded together,so fan stays running 24/7 till battery dies......
I'd replace the relay with one rated for 30 amps, preferably one with Au/Pl contacts, or an SSR.
