Someone near me has a 2000-hour RTV X1140 for sale. Asking about $8000. Looks okay in photos. I haven't seen it in person.

I have been thinking of getting rid of my gas E-Z-GO because the company provides horrible support and always seems to be about to go out of business. Also, it would be nice to be able to carry 4 people and have a diesel so I'm not constantly having ethanol issues.

My old cart will just barely hit 20 mph, which is fine, because even 15 would be unpleasant on my lumpy farm. The Kubota maxes out at 25. My question: what's it like driving it at that speed? The vast majority of the time, I would be moving pretty slowly, but every so often, I would want to be able to hit 20 or so. Maybe 25 on the private road outside our driveway, but probably not, because with the uneven asphalt, 20 is a challenge in the gas cart.

At 20 and above, does it roar, or is it a fairly pleasant experience?

I was going to look at one of these today, but when the seller showed me a video, the floor was rusted out.

He claims they're all like that. Is that true?

Seems more likely to me that someone up north got salt all over it.

N.Y,
My new RTV-X won't hit 25, tops out at about 20 (8mph on hills) and it handles good with the power steering. A pain to shift for things like plowing snow. Terrible seating position makes bouncing uncomfortable in bumpy areas on mine. I also have HD struts required for the glass windshield, winch, and plow that don't help. They are a work vehicle.
