Was thinking about adding some small, LED lights onto my ROPS top cross-bar. Put a couple hanging down pointing forward, and maybe one in the middle pointing back and down at the 3-point. Tractor is a B7200E.

Has anybody added lights like this? I tried doing a search and came up empty.

Just don't drill holes in it. Use U bolts to secure them. If you ever trade it in, user drilled holes in the ROPS will cause a reduction in value.

Search for Rops lights in the forum search box, multiple threads in the fabrication section, not specific to your tractor but you can see how others have done theirs

This may provide some ideas for electrical power. Note: I have nothing wired into switch (my preference) can run anything with tractor off. Can pull master plug if you wish.

Strong magnets work well. If operating in wooded areas or near shrubbery, bolted on brackets are better.

Downside of ROPS lights, you need bee keepers helmet to keep bugs off :)

As always, the least expensive is not always the best as far as light emission (lumens produced) and lifespan, why I prefer CREE over all others.

I've mounted lighting in all sorts of places on the 4 last tractors. On the ROPS was my least favorite spot.

1. Most of the night work is mowing. The lowest mounting provides much better definition between cut/uncut grass. The most useful ones are mounted in my grille guard. Yes, they stink for snow removal and FEL work, so I use the lights on the cab roof for that.

2. When I'm out at night, so are the bugs. With ROPS mounted lights, the bugs spent a lot of time swirling around my head. On one of the tractors I mounted the lights on the part of the FEL frame that remains when the loader is removed.

3. I wear glasses and the ROPS lights were slightly behind me. That created glare from backlighting my glasses.

The picture below is the current rig fully lit. Nighttime disappears around the tractor. For mowing, the best lighting is when I only use the lights in the grille guard and the low side lights (mounted inside the FEL frame tube). This setup would work on tractors with or without cabs. The bright forward facing cab-mounted lights add a lot of unneeded brightness, and the extra light on the hood is a bit distracting.

Another option for attaching:

These have a nice foam inner side to prevent rattling/shaking. They also have quick release pins for easy removal.
