Rkc54 mower deck

What is this part? I found it under the mower deck but can't find it on any part diagrams for the deck.

Looks like a deflector from a snow blower (says a guy from Texas that has only seen pictures of snow blowers).

My guess it that it came from under the tractor rather than the on deck.

Such as a mid pto guard, hydrostatic fan guard, etc.

A picture of your deck or under the tractor would be helpful.

It's part of the deck adapter kit. It bolts in under the deck, just forward of the discharge chute. It helps direct the flow of cuttings into the collector. If you're not using the vacuum/collector you don't need it.

Actually, even when I'm using my lawn/leaf vac I don't install it. The system works fine without it.
