I had this seal "pop" out today on a B2710 -- 950 hours. Of course I didn't realize that it happened until I noticed the steering getting stiff.

I guess I get to pull my first tractor axle. Any advice/guidance on replacing it will be greatly appreciated!

I guess I should replace the other side while doing this one? Are they just pressed into place or do I need to use some sort of sealant on them? Any thing I should be concerned about during the process or is it pretty straight forward? Should the bearings be replaced while I'm in there or just worry about the seals? Appreciate the expertise before I get started!!

This seems like your unit ,seems like easy repair.Drain some oil , remove the case, remove c-clip,slide stuff off, install new seal, etc.
The OMG for me is the $45 CDN for that seal !!!!! Seems kinda pricey to me,though maybe it's 'special' ?

If there's no oil seeping out, I'd be real tempted to clean yours, add a wipe of Locktite(?) and reinstall.
