I have a dry rotted front tire on my G6200 tractor. How do I remove the rim from the shaft? Appears that there is a bearing on both inner and outer sides. Do I use an impact hammer on the end of the shaft or is there some gadget that will work to remove the rim from the shaft? No other way to remove this, it appears.

thanx

Hi, I had a similar issue. I was amazed how hard it was to get off. I took a piece of oak and used it as an extension for the hammer. I tried to direct the blows to the inner race of the inside bearing. Keep at it and it will come off. As long as the cotter pin and nut are off there is nothing else holding it on.

Hi under the grease cap there's a cotter pin through a castle nut.
If you removed both of those the wheel should slide right off the axle.
Try rotating the wheel while pulling.
I got my G6200 front tires for 30.00 each from my Kubota dealer.
