Hey All,
New here to the forum. I live in CA and the state is offering to pay 80% of any Tier 4 or Tier 3 tractors provided I trade in a non tier running tractor. I'm willing to give up my 1976 JD 2030 that keeps on chugging provided I don't get stuck with something that is constantly in the shop with sensor or computer issues (I've heard with a lot of newer tractors). At this point I've decided on a tier 3 Kubota. In speaking with some of the service departments in my area they have recommended some of the mid 2000 models that include M-108S or M-9960. I will only need to pull a 500 gallon Air-O-Fan sprayer down flat citrus rows. Current horse power needed for my sprayer is 70. Don't need 4x4 but open to it if the price is right. Also fine with a ROPS but will take a cab if the price is right and potential issues are minimum. Please advise or weigh in on any Tier-3 models and years you think are the most reliable for my application. Thanks for your time. Much Appreciated!!

Sounds like a Obama cash for clunkers scheme to me. Taking good running and parts tractors out of commission.

Good luck finding a used tractor like that and under 500 hrs.

My local Air Board just said last week the program is now allowing the small growers like me (20 acres) buying Tier-3 models that the tractor must have 500-10,000 hours. Should be a decent amount of inventory. Any suggestions are welcome.

Well that opens up a whole world of possibilities. Much better than 500 as the limit.

Good luck.
