rear remote

I have a 7040 I just got it has one rear remote I was wondering if it springs back to center when you release it or you have to put it back also when moving foward ot is hard to move is this normal or is there something I can check thanks

First suspect when a valve is hard to operate is the linkage. Those valves are cable operated - disconnect the cable at the valve to see if the cable operates OK without the valve.

I can't tell you how the valve centers. On some tractor models Kubota offered detented valves and valves with a fourth detented float position in addition to spring center valves. Post a picture of the valve - it might help identify what if any options are installed on it.
