Hello! Newbie here. I have not found a way to search the threads yet, so I hope I am not starting up an old topic. I just got a job as a caretaker where I do a lot of road work, mowing, and some backhoe work. The Kubota M9000 that the club owns has R1 (ag) tires. I have 18.4-30 on the back and 12.4-24 on the front. I would like to put R4 (construction) tires on it for all the road work I do. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance!

I doubt that you can put industrial tires on those wheels. I would contact your local ag tire shop. They can possibly recommend a tire and wheel package that keep your rolling radius in spec.

Do you have front fenders?

When you say road work what does that mean?

My M9000 has ag tires that still look great and they're 15 years old.

I do not have front fenders. I did find out I'll have to swap wheels and I do have to keep the front/rear tire ratio for the 4wd. I mostly do gravel road maintenance. My ag tires are shot! Ag tractor/tire dealers and heavy equipment tire shops in Colorado Springs have not been helpful so far. I know somebody somewhere has done it.

What brand tires do you have now?

I ask because some tires even name brand are way worse to wear. I had a set of Bridgestone fronts and they were junk. My best as far as wear goes have been Titan's. R4's may be what you need but I wouldn't want them on mine.

Usually, when swapping from R1 to R4 (or R3), you have to buy the tires AND new rims that fit your tractor.

Kubota M9000 Tires:

4WD Standard tires (ag): (4WD)
Front: 12.4-24.
Rear: 18.4-30

Industrial front: 27x8.50-15 (4WD)
Industrial rear: 15-19.5 (4WD)
I don't like your industrial numbers. Those are standard L 4wd industrial numbers.

Those industrial numbers can't be right for a M9000. I know that's what tractordata says but I can't see going from a 44" ag tire to a 27" and from 24" wheels to a 15".

I even walked outside to measure the height of mine just where I would know the difference.
