Hi guys:

Speeco Quick Hitch
L2501
FDR1660

The lower link hooks on the Speeco are 28-1/4" apart (same as on the Kubota Quick Hitch). The mower was a lot narrower than that. First pic shows the pin brackets flipped over and installed on the other side of the support frame so I could get maximum width but I was still at 27-1/2" and due to the small "U" I need all the distance or the hooks will not engage properly. There is very little wiggle room.

So I needed two 3/8" spacers to get the pin brackets out to 28-1/4".
I decided to make them from HDPE which is also used for cutting boards and I got one from the dollar store.
There is still enough left over for a cutting board.

Spacer in place.

Glad you found a simple solution. However, I am surprised you had a problem with your QH - if it measures the same as a Land Pride. I have a Land Pride QH10 and a FDR1660, and there was no issue connecting.

I presume you already discovered that the top link connection is made to the u-shaped yolk (not using the QH top hook) on the FDR1660. The Land Pride QH comes with a couple of plates, pins and washers to make the connection.

Thanks, my Speeco fits the GS048 Land plane and the RCR1260 rotary cutter perfectly although they have wider connections so more tolerance.
Yes, I will have to make top link plates to allow the mower to float properly. The Speeco came with a few adapters but that one doesn't fit properly. I got a really good deal on the Speeco but good deals often come with drawbacks.

FWIW, this is the Kubota/Land Pride Quick hitch Floating connection kit.

Also FWIW, I gave up trying to adjust the bottom arms' bolt tension to hold them stationary (in the up position) for connection to the QH. I simply use two short bungee cords.
