I haven't had to buy TIG electrodes in quite awhile. Today I went to my local welding shop to get some. I have always used 2% lanthanated or thoriated so that is what I asked for. I was told they are no longer allowed to sell that variety because they are "radio active or something".

Has anyone else run into this? They still seem to be available all over the internet. Just an Indiana thing?

Just curious because I hate to change from something that has always worked well for me.
