I need to replace the pulley on my mower deck. I cannot remove it though. Any easy way to remove it, other than just plain muscle? The nut holding it in is so tight I cannot budge it!

bkusich, What kind of mower are you working on? I'm sure one of us here on OTT has one like it. Mine is a Bush Hog brand and has right handed threads. It has a washer lock (not right name, but what I call it) that you bend up on the side of the nut to lock it in place. Yours may have left handed threads. Also if you could post a picture or two, it would help. Keep us posted.

If it is a Kubota midmount deck, use an air impact gun to loosen the nut.

Air Impact is the only way to go! I recently had one that I had to use a 3/4 drive impact on in order to get it loose!
