Without a work shop manual I'm not sure how it works. I will probably have to call the dealer and talk to the service dept and see if they think it could be tested in an intermittent condition or if it will have to fail every time to be tested.

If I decide to get a work shop manual. What is the best one for the consumer. I can do electrical and light repairs, as long as they don't require special tools or computer diagnostic.

OEM workshop manual - well worth the cost. I buy them for every car, truck, or tractor I own. You can download the Kubota L6060 WSM for free from Kubotabooks.com

For free, wow. Does the free version have all the wiring diagrams as well?
Its the complete OEM manual and yes it has wiring diagrams.

Personally I would not assume this is an electrical problem. it could just as easily be hydraulic or mechanical.

curious,,, d/ld the manual..

PTO switch goes to the ECU (B connector)..-> computer --> ECU (A connector) -->another connector--> PTO solenoid
Didn't follow how the light gets put on....

since it does engage ,probably NOT an 'electrical' problem..
my money's on a gummed up PTO servo..easily removed/cleaned/reinstalled.....
