this happens a lot, there was just a thread about it too. Engage and disengage the pto. apply very gentle pressure to the lever, and either just as it stops rotating, or after its stops, the lever will move. Its just the gears not meeting up.

Most importantly don't try to force it, the linkages can get bent easily. You just have to get the gears to align and it will move easily. You can do that by manually moving the PTO shaft, or by engaging the PTO itself while applying slight pressure to the selection lever.

I’m having the same problem on a b3030 sort of. The front pto/ belly mower will spin and won’t disingauge. The rear pto won’t engage at all. Lever moves very smoothly. Iv tried turning rear pto and nothing. All it will do is idle real slow. You can stop it with ease with no force. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sound like you have an internal issue.

There is a brake disk in the clutch pack that stop the PTO from spining when disengaged.
Sounds like you have an issue with that.
If you can move the lever to change from Mid PTO to Rear PTO and the rear is not working then that too is an internal issue.

Thanks for the reply! I have another question. The lever that has the spin / not spin for the pto. Does it move anything internally or just operates the locks to keep pto in one position?
