I have a Bx2680 the pto gear shift up and down but the gear is stuck on the rear pto...i can't get the belly mower pto to engage
I’m having the same problem on a b3030 sort of. The front pto/ belly mower will spin and won’t disingauge. The rear pto won’t engage at all. Lever moves very smoothly. Iv tried turning rear pto and nothing. All it will do is idle real slow. You can stop it with ease with no force. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Most importantly don't try to force it, the linkages can get bent easily. You just have to get the gears to align and it will move easily. You can do that by manually moving the PTO shaft, or by engaging the PTO itself while applying slight pressure to the selection lever.
Sound like you have an internal issue.I’m having the same problem on a b3030 sort of. The front pto/ belly mower will spin and won’t disingauge. The rear pto won’t engage at all. Thanks for the reply! I have another question. The lever that has the spin / not spin for the pto. Does it move anything internally or just operates the locks to keep pto in one position?Sound like you have an internal issue.
There is a brake disk in the clutch pack that stop the PTO from spining when disengaged.
Sounds like you have an issue with that.
If you can move the lever to change from Mid PTO to Rear PTO and the rear is not working then that too is an internal issue.
