New guy, new tractor ( to me )
B2400HSD 4wd w/1179hrs currently , LA352 loader, 60" Cammond box blade ( a bit large but it's here )
is there a way to lock out the PTO lever to keep it from moving ?
I'm a rather large dude, and me turning around to watch the BB or to see where I am going, I tend to move the PTO engage lever with my leg, which then slightly grinds the gears ( which gets your attention quickly if you are in tune with listening to such noises.
If there is not way to lock out, I will use a rubber bungee cord to keep the lever in the forward position. though about using the 3PH lever lock but it doesn't fit the slot. I have no PTO options other than the MMM, and I won't be using that much at all for the next few months ( I have a riding mower I will use till I'm done grading my lot)
Next question,
I have no manual for the machine, everything I have done so far has been exploratory, and have for the most part figured everything out, except for the knob under the operators seat, says OPEN-----CLOSE on it.
I presume this is a hydraulic shut off ? it is currently in the OPEN position, I have not played with it mostly because I have no idea what it does. ( ejection seat relief valve ?????
)
I did do a fairly decent service on it, changed all the filters, oil, fan belt, greased everything I could find with a fitting, made my own relay bypass for the starter solenoid ( works wonderfully !! ) I need to change the Trans fluid, dealer was out of the 5gal SUDT and the pricing of the one gallon wasn't inline with what 5gal price was for some reason ( I didn't ask, I was feeling out the dealer, seeing how they did business, first time I had been there ), I did buy one gallon to top off the trans when I changed the filter. Do I HAVE to use UDT or Super UDT ? would a Phillips or Castrol product be of sufficient service ? Keep in mind, I have no idea how this machine was maintained just run what I got with what I have done so far. have no idea what is in it, but it looks fairly clean.
I have had an absolute blast on this machine over the last week, my intentions are to completely re-landscape my yard/lot ( just over an acre) re-work my driveway, prep and area for a garage, and a few other things I haven't thought of just yet.
If anyone has info or other ideas on this machine, speak up.
Thanks for having me !!
