Greetings Follow Kubotians, I thought I would share how I process my winter wood (with pictures). In the spring I have 4 cord dropped off at the lake. My wood shed holds 9 cord, I have it divided in half, last winter I burned the pile on the left, so in Sept. I took the wood from the line and refilled the left side, this winter I use the wood on the right side. Now this month I started to cut the wood at the lake, I saw a tank of gas 1 day and the second day I split and haul the wood to the line. Instead of making 2 trips to the wood pile I added a trailer hitch to the trailer and I hook the wood splitter to it, saves making 2 trips.

Nice operation.
I never had scenery that nice while cutting firewood!!
We were usually cutting in the fall/early winter for following year.
Got used to muddy snow....... that looks cool!

Yep, I'd be hard pressed to get much work done there; the urge to pull out a chair & beverage and just enjoy the view would be overwhelming.:D

I don't have a lake view, but use much the same methods,my trailer is 4x8, better than a face cord per load, this was my third load this fall, hope to do a couple loads per Saturday until the basement is full

My next door neighbor lost 27 oaks due to hurricane Harvey,
I lost 3. My neighbor said to help myself. I can't seem to get
my son interested. My neighbor hired a dozer to push them
into big piles. I would go over there,
hook on a big chunk with my chain and tow it to my fence line.
There they sit for now.
