Hey guys,
Got a B2620 with a bushhog post hole digger. Disconnected it last week so a friend could borrow the tractor and use a box blade. Reconnected the post hole digger today but now it will spin but only go about 3 inches deep into a hole My friend said he didnt make any adjustments that would matter so I figure I've got something hooked up wrong. Will try to post pics if I can What did I do wrong?

Is it a optical illusion, or is the "U" where the 3 point arms attach sitting on the ground? That would certainly limit depth.

Take off the auger. Lower the boom as low as it will go. If it stops part way down, something hydraulically is restricting. Too, check the 3 pt speed adjustment, if your friend played with that at all your problem might be there. Once you do get it sorted out, DONT LOAN YOUR TRACTOR!!! Lol.

I feel stupid. Didn't even think to check the hydraulic fluid seeing as how the tractor has less than 60 hrs on it but I checked it and the dipstick was dry. Gonna top it off tomorrow...any recommendations on what type of fluid to put in?

Not saying that you don't need the fluid. However filling will not help you dig deeper. The hydraulics only lift the auger. It goes down by gravity.
