Grey import tractor? My battery came without grease fittings.
The hydraulic adjustment screw was not the problem. I had adjusted that earlier to make certain that when implements were raised to the max, the lift handle would return to neutral. My problem was that I lifted the mower to the max but the 3 pt arms were not all the way up. Once I have made certain those 3 pt arms are up all the way, the height adjustment knob turns easily. On my BX, I had some issues a few times. The adjustment screw that @bobnic points to was the culprit once. If not set properly the deck won't go high enough to turn the knob. The second time I was low on hydraulic fluid - not enough fluid to lift the deck all the way to the top.
Are the three point arms interfering with the mower arms? I don't think they should. The hydraulic adjustment screw was not the problem. Not at all. The 3 pt arms I reference are on the back for implements. The MMM is, strangely, under the mid-point of the tractor. Are the three point arms interfering with the mower arms? I don't think they should.
That was the problem...user error. I see to do that a lot, and not just with the tractor! In short, user error. You decided it was all the way up when the mower stopped moving, not when the 3pt arms were all the way up. Easy mistake to make, and worth pointing out to others who may make the same mistake.
