Hi- I have a D750 that has a variable speed throttle, and would like to know what parts are required to convert this to a constant speed unit. Also, any guidance on the the procedure. Currently in the Seattle (Snowgeddon) area! Thanks

Can you post a picture of the injection pump? Are you wanting to use the engine for a generator? Generally, for a generator application, you move the slow idle stop up to the desired RPM against the throttle arm and then bring the FAST idle stop down to lock the throttle arm from going up any further. If setting the RPM for a generator, you generally set it to 1860 rpm to allow for load droop to around 1800 rpm.
I had a Shibaura 1 ltr engine powering a direct drive 8kw generator. The throttle arm was locked just as I described.

Depend on if you want it to go from an Idle to fixed rpm or if you want it to just stay up at a fixed RPM.

First type just requires a solenoid or linear actuator and something to control that.
Second you just lock down the throttle linkage with the adjustment screws.
