I went to the Kubota Corporate site and found the ROPS program to retrofit older Kubota's that were not produced with a ROPS is still supported. http://www.kubota.com/safety/RolloverProtectiveStructures.aspx
You can go here and put in your tractor model and serial number and instantly see if your tractor qualifies for compensation for a ROPS. If you have an older Kubota with no ROPS you should check this out for your saftey!
The dealers want customers to believe that Kubota only had retro designs made up and owners had to buy them at full price. The whole story is that Kubota supports safety and is still subsidizing the retro ROPS which reduces the cost to the customer by nearly 2/3's of the full price.
Go to this link or http://www.kubota.com/safety/RolloverProtectiveStructures.aspx go to the Kubota corporate site and look under safety, ROPS safety program, then enter your tractor data and see if you can save a lot of money to be more safe.
